Recruitment & Employment Confederation
The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) is the professional body for both recruitment businesses and individual recruitment consultants.
The REC has a strict entrance and membership criteria. Members adhere to the REC Code of Professional Practice, and work seekers and clients can expect the highest standards of professional service.
A copy of the Code is available on written request or from the REC's website www.rec.uk.com/employersNot only does Appointments Personnel meet the standard set by the Code but in many areas we exceed them.
The advantages of using an REC Member are as follows:
- The REC rigorously check each of the members to ensure that they comply with the Code of Professional Practice, operate ethically, professionally and to the highest standards
- Members are briefed on the most up to the minute legislation ensuring that we always abide by the law - no matter how recently it has been updated.
- Conduct a face-to-face interview before introducing a candidate - if this has not been a possible the client will be informed.
- Commit to the REC Code of Professional Practice and are therefore subject to disciplinary procedures. This means that clients are offered the piece of mind that comes with using an REC member.
- Only current REC members are allowed to use the REC logo on their advertising and stationery, which demonstrates our adherence to high standards.
- All our consultants take advantage of all possible learning opportunities, ensuring that they can offer services to the highest standard
- All Appointments Personnel consultants attend the REC's Employment Legislation course and go through a structured induction-training programme.
Many of our consultants have industry specific professional qualifications such as "The Foundation Vocational Award in Employment Agency Practice" or "The Certificate in Recruitment Practice.
